Who are you?

Ben Tidy and Adam Cook aka Souled from Fresh Minute Music, a record label that releases music we find hard to believe hasn’t been released by somebody else already.

How would you describe the music you play?

I’d describe it as being amazing.

Favourite dj experience or musical memory?

Probably a collection of moments when our music first started getting played on major radio stations and big clubs.

You’re stranded on a desert island with 5 records. What are they?

Off the top of our heads we’d say these, but if I had a long hard think about it this list would probably be completely different. Can we just take an iPod coz the vinyl will probably warp in the sun and some of them are original pressings?

Its always great when you know where to look but knowing where to look is becoming harder.

What do you see happening in 2010?

Our musical prediction is that the Altered Natives sound will kick off properly this year! Check out his latest release on Fresh Minute feat Sacha Williamson. Also, the album on his eye 4 eye records and forthcoming remix on Hyperdub.

Why are you looking forward to the Deep Cover launch party?

Because Dex Club is a great venue and we’ll get to hear our fellow Watford-ites spin alongside some great guest bookings.

Ben always looks stoned even when hes sober.

Biography

Souled are currently riding high on a wave of quality productions that have seen them get airplay from all the heavyweight dj’s. Their label fresh minute music is going from strength to strength and some of our favourite tracks of last year have come out of their chalk hill studios.
