Who are you?
PowderSoul – clearly not my real name but would be kinda interesting if it was!
Describe the music you play?
I love all music with soul, but when playing out it’s the usual 4 x 4 house sound with lashings of soul and topped with a jackin’ beat.
Best dj experience or musical memory?
Hmmmm, difficult to narrow down to one dj experience but if I have to I would have to be playing at our first Soulfulbeats party in London a few years ago 6pm Sat afternoon, wicked vibe, packed dance floor – love it!
You’re stranded on a desert island with 5 records. What are they?
1) Stevie Wonder – Visions

Current music.. In a state or great?
There will always be good and bad music, it’s the dj’s job to wade through the turd and promote whats good. I don’t have any problems discovering great new and old music, so I’m happy!
What do you see happening in 2010?
From a personal perspective a very busy year as launching a new label (Soulfulbeats) as well as continuing the Soulfulbeats nights. What you will see in 2010 is myself getting my ass in gear and putting out lots of new material (officially)!!!!!
Why are you looking forward to the Deep Cover launch party?
Phil Asher, Andy Ward, Souled, Kev Beadle… how can you not look forward to being on the same bill as these peeps! On a serious note, it’s gonna go off big time!!!
Tell us something we don’t know?
hmmmmm… I’m on best man duties for my brother this summer, and as I type I am bricking it.
A Brief Biography
Powdersoul is part of the successful Soulfulbeats crew and is also busy in the studio putting together hot remixes and re-edits that have got support and airplay and some of clublands biggest events. Look out for soulfulbeats first release which is about to drop featuring house Diva Stephanie Cooke.
